26. Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Image
Some one in US asked me how did you cope with the death/samadhi of your guru (a spiritual guru)? And by Grace of Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, I felt so happy that I don't have to go through this trauma. Following was the answer by His Grace: I am the lucky one. Being a Sikh I don't have to go through that trauma. My Guru is Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, The Source of 'Shabad Guru - Word Guru'. And 'Shabad Guru' is formless and He can never be touched by Messenger of Death, in fact Messenger of Death leaves an individual after seeing His Glory. In words of Dhan Shri Guru Raam Daas Ji, Fourth Sikh Guru: and Dhan Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Fifth Sikh Guru: ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਾਰੇ ॥ (The Word, the Bani is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar is contained.) ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਛਡਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ (Gazing upon Your Glory, the Messenger of Death leaves and goes away.) --------------------- So, why t...

25. How can soul-searching be beneficial to someone’s life?

Image
The difference between living human and corpse is an entity which is referred as soul. The soul is an observer to your actions and as per Indian Philosophy it is believed soul manifest into many living forms till it achieves salvation. Why it is important to do soul searching? Soul is separated from The Source but it is part of The Source. And it is connected to it. So by soul searching efforts are focussed to find that connection. And once connection is found The Source, Primal Formless God, is found. All the knowledge, all the virtues, all the peace transcends from The Source. But to find that connection an individual has to face his fears, his vices, his ego which are eager to tear him apart. It is not easy to sit in silence since noises of mind are more than any cacophony sounds an individual would have heard. So book help to understand what can be experienced and not to give up if you find it difficult to cope up with them. It is important to understand after noises, p...

24. Theorem Vs Poem Vs Bhakti

Image
A Theorem is just an expression of the facts that could be established by tangibility.  A Poem or philosophy is an expression of comprehension which may not be tangible. But 'Bhakti - Devotional Worship' is expression of experience, an experience of 'The One - Formless'. A Theorem is a truth limited by constraints as inspired by limited knowledge base. A Poem or Philosophy may not be truth inspired by imagination or humanly transient experience. 'Bhakti' is only truth not limited by rationality, perception, space, time or any entity inspired by only surrender and Divine Grace. So what should an individual strive for - Limited Truth, May be Truth or Only Truth (can be found by Bhakti). And Bhakti what inspired Paatshahi 5, Dhan Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, to compile Only Truth as Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Bow down to 'The Guru Who will remain Only True for ages to come - Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji'.

23. The Great Guru

Image
For desires of one life, we ignore ‘need of eternity'. For moments of pleasure, we ignore 'tranquillity of infinite’. For few pieces of gold, we ignore ‘endless treasure'. For shine of diamond, we ignore ‘light of divine’. For many, we don’t attach to ‘The One’. And we waste life in following imposters, ignoring ‘The Eternal Guru Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji'. What good is life and values which keep us away from ‘The Great Guru'? It is never too late to return to ‘Him’. After all ‘Lord of Namadev is all compassionate'. And ‘Who’ gives glimpse of ‘HIS Compassion', no other than ‘Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji'.

22. Dhan Sikhi under Grace of Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Image
Humanity in sheer ignorance has always bowed down to miracle. And who did miracle masses began to worship them. But 'Baba Nanak' when uttered 'The Words', He wanted humanity to attune to His Guru. He has called Himself 'Gurmukh - One Who is Attuned To The Guru' in many of His Shabads. But WHO can be Guru of Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji? Well, His Guru is 'The Formless - The One'. In fact He never called Himself worthy of being worshipped, who in this mortal world has ever done that? He just asked everyone to 'To Recite The One, WHO was true, WHO is True and WHO will always be true'. And His Grace resulted in such spiritual revolution that a common man who just accepted miracle to be worthy of worshipping, himself became miracle. Common man rose above miracle and when Sikhs of Guru Ghar gleefully sacrificed themselves in Delhi for sake of saving beliefs and faith of others, even made Dhan Shri Guru Teg Bhadur Ji say, 'Dhan Sikhi - B...

21.0 Gurmukh - According to the words of Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (English, Hindi, Punjabi)

Image
Who is Gurmukh? Humanity has been searching for his origins since beginning. Origin means to understand one's own existence and to know its purpose. Like how did I originate? What's my real goal? Questions about his existence and purpose has inspired many to continue the quest. And they made it the purpose of his life to know the origins of human life. But even today, intellectuals have not been able to come to any conclusion on these questions. Their search continues even today. In answer to these questions, many principles were put forward, but no mutual agreement could be reached on any of them. Because of this, humanity has been mired in debates only. And humanity has become entangled only in materialism. Humanity became so entangled in materialism that it considered engagement of senses only the key to the 'Ultimate Happiness.  But the games of ‘Akal Purakh’ are unique. If 'He' had sown curiosity in the human mind to know ‘Him’ and humanity went ast...
